As the UNGA operates on the basis of consensus, decisions will be made through dialogue and cooperation among the delegates representing member states.
Topic : Addressing the Issue of Nuclear Proliferation
The development and spread of nuclear weapons significantly threaten global peace and security. Focus will be placed on the nuclear programs of two countries, Iran and North Korea, and the international community's efforts to prevent further proliferation. While the international community has sought to reduce nuclear proliferation through several measures and treaties in the past, these efforts have been insufficient. As the issue of nuclear proliferation poses a significant threat to world peace, the international community must continue to work together to prevent the development and spread of nuclear weapons. The committee will particularly focus on holding countries such as Iran and North Korea accountable for their actions, and pressuring them to abandon their nuclear programs
